Growing Coalition of LA County Leaders Support Eli Vera for Sheriff

LOS ANGELES, CA – In a sign of growing momentum for his candidacy, Eli Vera, candidate for Los Angeles County Sheriff and current law enforcement leader, announced endorsements from six LA County Leaders today.

“I am proud to be endorsed by those who know my work best — my fellow LA County public servants,” said Eli Vera. “I am running for LA County Sheriff to restore confidence and trust in the Sheriff’s Department, and to ensure the Department is accountable to the people we serve, and I’m honored that this growing coalition of civic leaders share this vision.”

Eliezer Vera is a 33-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He has served in various capacities and positions of leadership throughout his career. Vera is a former Division Chief, and is currently a Commander in the LA Sheriff’s Department.
